How to install the USB Print Server

Connect to your network by using twisted-pair cable to connect the rear of print server.

　

1. Insert the setup CD into your CD-ROM.

2. The auto run program starts and the following message appears.

3. Choose Setup Wizard, the program will auto install the Network Print Monitor, PSAdmin and Setup Wizard into your computer.

After installation completes, the Setup Wizard message appears.

　

　

4. Click “Network Print Server Setup Wizard” and the following message appear.

　

5. Click “Next”, the wizard will automatically discover the print server.  

　

6. Click “Next”.

　

7. Select “Yes”, if you want to change the configuration and press “Next” to continue.

　

8. Configure TCP/IP settings. If you have a DHCP server on the network, select “Obtain an IP address automatically”, or click “Specify and IP address” and input the IP, Mask, and Gateway IP addresses. Click “Next”.

　

9. TCP/IP settings saved, click “Next” to start install the printer for your computer.

　

10. Click “Next” and choose the printer you want to install. You can also add a new printer in this step.

　

11. Click “Next” and setup program will display the summary of your printer’s configuration.

Now, your print server has been successfully installed via setup wizard.

　

12. Click the “Finish” button to exit.

　

13. Enter the properties of printer icon, and then click “Add Port”.

　

14. Choose “Standard TCP/IP Port”, and then click “New Port”.

　

15. Click “Next”.

　

16. Input the IP address of your print server, and then click “Next”.

　

17. Choose “Custom”, and click “Settings”.

　

18. Choose “LPR”, input the default queue name of print server: “lp1”. Then click “OK”.

　

19. Click “Next”.

　

20. Now, your print server has been successfully installed via LPR. Click the “Finish” button to exit.
