Release Note on Omni TA128 Version 2.07 December 31, 1997
           =======================================

1.The firmware's file names for various switch type are as follows:

        FILENAME SWITCH TYPE
   1.1 "TA128E.207" ------ DSS1
   1.2 "TA128K.207" ------ KOREA(KOREA only)
   1.3 "TA128G.207" ------ 1TR6 (GERMANY only)

2.Fixed the Bugs:
=================
2.1 With country code 236 (Italy), when calling side set ATB11&S1&M1 and
answering side set ATB11&S1&M1S0=1, answering side TA will reject this
incoming call when calling side S80.6=0.
 2.2 DTE2 AT&V6, AT&V7 don't work.
2.3 With country code 250 (Sweden), TA can't dial with pulse.
2.4 ATDnnn command can't accept bracket "()" in the phone number string
        nnn.
2.5 Set ATS88=128 will cause TA reset.
2.6 With global reception enabled, when there is a global call coming, TA
will send "RING" message to data terminal. If this incoming call is
answered by another TA on the same S/T bus, TA didn't send "NO
        CARRIER".
2.7 DTE port 2 with X.75 protocol, if the incoming call send XID request
        TA will disconnect this call.
2.8 If the answering TA response with "DISC" upon receipt of XID request,
the calling ZyXEL TA should response with UA and stop the XID
procedure and re-establish the LAP link.
2.9 Set AT&D0 and lower DTR TA can't response to any AT command.
2.10 In CAPI mode, off hook phone 2 will get busy tone no matter there is
        free channel or not.
 2.11 AT&T11 loop back test doesn't work.
2.12 Set DTE port 1 baud rate = 9600bps, press 't' or 'T' instead of press
'a' or 'A' as the first character then press D/V key, data terminal
will show garbage instead of OK.
 2.13 Supplementary services Call Waiting/Hold/Retrieve don't work.
2.14 Set ATB11&M1&S1&WZ and dial out, if call fail to connect no more AT
        command can enter.
 2.15 AT&F can't reset AT&Mn to AT&M0.
2.16 With SLIP, only first connection to ISP can success.
2.17 Dial with ATDIx+y where x and y are two different subscribers' phone
numbers will show connect 128K but, in fact, only one B channel
        connected. (X75, V120 only)
2.18 When both calling and called sides set AT*G2, the non-password callback
function will make calls between these two parties calling back and
forth. (Both side of TAs have to upgrade F/W to fix this problem.)
2.19 For SLIP, UART hardware flow control doesn't work properly.
2.20 For TA128, DTE port 1 baud rate will be changed to 1200bps after
        connection message shown.
2.21 For TA128, DTE port 1 baud rate will be changed to 1200bps after D/V
        button pressed.
2.22 TA didn't ignore the SETUP message with a CR value that is using.
 2.23 S register #5 doesn't work.
2.24 Call back failed duo to switch send DISCONNECT message faster than
call back SETUP message. (Now call back SETUP message will be sent out
S64 seconds later after DISCONNECT message is sent. Users can correct
this problem by setting proper value to S64. The default value is 5
seconds. When S64 equals 0, 5 seconds timer used.)
2.25 Set improper country code (smaller than 217) will cause TA load
        incorrect RING frequency and cadence.
2.26 Leased line, if user plug out ISDN line while in V.110 connection, TA
will response with two "NO CARRIER" and sometimes show garbage data.
2.27 Leased line, while in connection, issue "+++" and then "ath" TA
responses with "OK" and then "NO CARRIER".
2.28 While InterCom, if phone 1 or phone 2 pressing FLASH/5 to reject the
incoming call, both incoming connection and InterCom will be dis-
        connected simultaneously.
2.29 While 3-way conference (2 local and 1 external) going, when the
external user disconnect, both local users will hear busy tone.
2.30 While phone 1 is connecting and phone 2 is ringing, sometimes phone 1
can hear ringing noise coming from phone 2.
2.31 Issue ATC$ starting EPA, if XID frame sent by ELSA TA was included,
        TA will hang.
2.32 Sometimes phone 1 and phone 2 will interfer each other, especially
when one of them is a modem call.
2.33 PPP Term-Ack is blocked by our TA. Some application, e.g. WinNT
        callback, will get problem.
2.34 When TA received "ATD12345;" should ignore the ending ';'.
2.35 Response to "AT#21#" is incorrect.
2.36 AT*C1~C3 should response with "ERROR".
2.37 Some people testing TA and RVS-COM Lite Ver 1.22 reported that
sometimes there are problems when sending fax.
2.38 Let s0>=3, sometimes TA disconnects before beginning answering call.
2.39 While connecting with X.75+V.42bis, if answering side ISDN line cord
is plugged out and plugged in before calling side disconnecting and
then plugged out again till time out, the calling TA will never release
B1 channel even though the calling side ISDN line cord is plugged out.

3.Newly implemented features
============================
 3.1 Ringer frequency:
Ringer frequency and cadence will automatically adapt to that
country's SPEC when country code is changed.
        Note:
          1. Only when country code is changed ringer cadence is changed.
          2. Ringer frequency can also be changed via ATS121 setting.
          3. AT&F can't reload ringer frequency of country default; Ringer
frequency is changed only through the two methods mentioned above.
          4. Because ringer frequency is kept in active user's profile, user
should save ringer frequency to a proper profile after ringer
             frequency is changed.
3.2 Keypad protocol for DSS1 version:
Presently, the following countries support this function:
                250 Sweden
                238 Taiwan
                236 Italy
 3.3 Release D channel Layer 2 Link:
When S121.4 is cleared (=0, the default setting), if all DTE port(s)
and PHONE device(s) are idle for more than 10 seconds, TA will
actively send "DISC" to release D channel layer 2 link if layer 2 link
is still engaged. (Note that this feature is available only on DSS1
        version.)
 3.4 Software and Hardware reset:
Add software and hardware reset AT commands.
            ATSWR:
Software reset. After this AT command issued TA restarts
                system.
            ATHWR:
Hardware reset. After this AT command issued TA will clear
NVRAM, load factory default S parameters, and restart system.
        Note:
These two AT commands are protected by key S38.2=1. You have
to set S38.2=1 before issuing these two AT commands.
 3.5 Debug Mode:
        Supporting Debug Mode.
            Method to enter Debug Mode:
pressing D/V button for 10 seconds after power on. Don't be
confused by pressing D/V button during power on process. Doing
that may cause TA doing Hardware Reset. When B1/B2/AA LEDs are
beginning to flash release D/V button. Now TA entering
autobauding state. Connect TA to any asynchronous terminal and
key in "AT". If TA successfully detect "AT", it will send BELL
character three times and show Debug Mode Help Menu.

What to use in Debug Mode:
In Debug Mode, there supports 6 AT commands:
                    ATRnnnnnn:
Read 256 bytes memory contents starting from "nnnnnn".
                    ATDNXfromaddr,lenght:
Download "length" bytes memory contents in X modem
starting from "fromaddr". The number is in
                        hexidecimal.
                    ATDNXP:
Download PPP DbgBuffer in X modem.
                    ATDNX$:
Download MonBuf (EPA buffer) in X modem.
                    ATSWR:
                        Software reset. System restarted.
                    ATHWR:
Hardware reset. Clear up contents of EEPROM, load
                        factory default and restart system.
                    ATWW[B]addr=hex value:
Write memory address "addr" with the specified hex
value. (Note that this is for internal use only.)
 3.6 AT&V:
Add DTE rate, data length, number of stop bit, and parity information
for AT&V. (For DTE port 1 only.)
 3.7 ATC$1:
ATC$1 will stop logging and start to output the tracelog buffer
        WITHOUT user's intervention.

4.Known bugs
============
 4.1 Leased line:
4.1.1 While connecting with V.120+V.42bis, if answering side ISDN line cord
is plugged out, after both sides disconnected, sometimes answering side
        TA reset.
4.1.2 When both sides initiate with calling side and select X.75 protocol,
connection will terminate in several seconds.
 4.2 Sync Mode:
        Can't connect with IBM AS/400.
 4.3 CAPI:
 4.3.1 Don't support T.30.
 4.4 E71 mode:
While DTE speed slower than 38400bps, E71 mode auto-detection is
possible only when AT commands are typing in upper case.

=============================================================================

           Release Note on Omni TA128 Version 2.06 Sep , 8, 1997
        =============================================

1.The firmware's file names for various switch type are as follows:

        FILENAME SWITCH TYPE
   1.1 "TA128E.206" ------ DSS1
   1.2 "TA128K.206" ------ KOREA(KOREA only)
   1.3 "TA128G.206" ------ 1TR6 (GERMANY only)
   1.4 "TA128A.206" ------ USA (USA only)

2.Fixed the Bugs:
=================
2.1 If flow control is disabled (AT&H0), using V.120 or X.75 to make
a connection and transferring ASCII file will cause the TA128's CTS
      low and then reset.
2.2 For USA version, if AT&J3 is issued for bundle call but only dial one
phone number, can not get the connection.
2.3 For Japan only, the function that limits 3 times re-dialing during 3
minutes while remote is busy, does not work correctly while using A>
      repeat dialing.
2.4 While Issue 'ATS20=n' will get two 'OK'.
2.5 The TA128 can not save AT&Z=aaaa+bbbb in NVRAM.
2.6 For Taiwan only, it's necessary to add 'Sending Complete' information
element in SETUP message for outgoing phone call.
2.7 The frame error on V.25bis protocol, this will cause the TA128 can not
receive V25bis command when connected to some routers ( ex. 3Com ).
2.8 For Australia and UK only, the ring cadence is incorrect.
2.9 While using DTE port 2 to connect with Win95 NT server, an incoming
call for X.75 will connect with PPP.
2.10 Issue 'ATS84.4=1' in DTE port 2 can not change the register's value in
      current profile.
2.11 AT command can not be detected if DTE rate = 1200 bps.
2.12 For synchronous mode connection, the RTS off-on tansition can
      cause the TA128 to reset.
2.13 For synchronous mode connection, after stress test, drop DTR
to disconnect the call can cause the TA128 to reset.
2.14 For leased line function, one dial-up line / one leased line mode.
while one B channel is connected with data call via leased line, making
a phone call via dial-up line, dropping the call, unpluging the line
cord and then pluging, the data call never connect any more.
2.15 For leased line function, after data connectiion with X.75 is connected,
and then plug out/plug in line cord of the answer site, the connection
      never connect any more.
2.16 For leased line function, after data connection with V.120+Bundle, or
V.120+V42bis, or V.120+Bundle+V42bis and then plug out/plug in line
cord to disconnect V.120 ,no data can be transferred after connect
      again.
2.17 The TA128 connects to Cisco 2511 terminal server, and the initial string
      is AT&FS0=1S2=128S87.7=1S118.3=1S119.3=1S125.0=1B40M. The Cisco expects
PAP authentication via PPP and all users dial in with sync PPP. After
about a day of normal operation, the TA128 can not connect any incoming
      PPP call.

3.Newly implemented features
============================
 3.1 Global reception:
While an inbound analog call can not tell to route to which a/b
adaptor, the TA128 will alert two a/b adaptors. The a/b that picks up
the phone earlier answers the call. We call this function the
"global reception". The bit of register S120.2 is defined to select
this function ( multi-answering ) or using the original reception
procedure ( ambiguity resolution bit, set the priority by using
     AT&Ln n = 0,1 ).

     S120.2  = 0  Multi-answering. (default)
               1 ambiguity resolution

3.2 CAPI 2.0 for USA version.
     using the same European CAPI 2.0 driver for Windows ( CAPI.DLL, 16-bit & 32-bit )
     for USA switches.
The supported B-channel layer 3 protocols are:
         X.75 Transparent,
         T.70 (for T-Online),
ISO8208 (for European File Transfer), and
Bit Transparent (for some G3 Fax applications).

 3.3 AOC's new function:
3.3.1 exchange function from currency to unit function.
ATUNIT=xxxx (0.001 ->65) save the charging fee per unit to NVRAM.
ATUNIT? view the value of charging fee per unit.
while making a outgoing call, if the type of charging information is
currency, the TA will change to uint type by using rate that saving
by "ATUNIT=xxx" previously. User can use the command "ATCH?" to view
the units and currency. Also changing to metering pulses in a/b
        adaptor if available.
3.3.2 Issuing ATCH? will display charge unit with called party number
        instead of B1 or B2.

 3.4 Supplementary services in a/b adapter :
for DSS1 version, USA version with NI1, AT&T 5ESS switch, these features
      are released for beta-testing.
  3.4.1 Call Waiting ( DSS1 NI1, AT&T ):
in USA, this feature is named ACO ( additional call offering ).
The Call Waiting permits users to be informed ( a sequence of du-du
tone ) of an incoming phone call when a phone call is existing.
The users have then the choices of accepting or ignore the waiting
       call.
3.4.1.1 Acceptance by using Call Hold ( 3.4.2 ) supplementary service:
press Flash-7 to hold the existing call and connect to the waiting
           call automatically.
3.4.1.2 Acceptance by releasing the existing call:
hang-up, then you will hear the ringing, then offhook and conneting
           the waiting call.
3.4.1.3 Rejection by ignore the waiting call:
if you don't want to talk to the waiting guy, just ignore it.
After 10 seconds while the du-du tone is present and the user does
not answer the call, the TA may reject the call and the du-du
           tone will be disappear.
  3.4.2 Call Transfer - Flash/5 ( AT&T )
The service allows a user to transfer a call to another terminal.
   3.4.2.1 Explicit transfer ( user A, B, C )
A connects to B and want to transfer to C. Press Flash/7 to hold
the call and then dial to C. After connected, press Flash/5 to
           transfer the call to C.
   3.4.2.2 Implicit transfer ( user A, B, C )
A connects to B and want to transfer to C. Press Flash/5 to hold
the call and then dial to C. After connected, the call will
transfer the call to C automatically.
  3.4.3 Drop - Flash/6 ( AT&T )
The service allows a user to drop ( disconnect ) the last party added
to a call ( normal 2-party call or conference call )
  3.4.4 HOLD - Flash/7 ( DSS1, NI1, AT&T )
The service allows the user that keeping busy in a call, holding-on
the call and making a call to a new user, utilizing the same B channel.
The user can talk by turns to each connected users, or resume the
normal call status by release the active connection.
  3.4.5 RETRIEVE (RECONNECT) - Flash/8 ( DSS1, NI1, AT&T )
The service allows the user to connect the call that was holded-on
previously. The user can switch between two call in same B-channel by
utilizing HOLD and RETRIEVE appropriately - HOLD-on active connection
        and then RETRIEVE another call.
  3.4.6 CONFERENCE - Flash/9 ( DSS1, AT&T )
The service allow a user to establish a 3-parties conference.
   3.4.6.1 Explicit transfer ( user A, B, C )

Release Note on Omni TA128 Version 2.05 July, 2, 1997
        =============================================

1.The firmware's file names for various switch type are as follows:

        FILENAME SWITCH TYPE
   1.1 "TA128E.205" ------ DSS1
   1.2 "TA128K.205" ------ KOREA(KOREA only)
   1.3 "TA128G.205" ------ 1TR6 (GERMANY only)
   1.4 "TA128A.205" ------ USA (USA only)

2.Fixed the Bugs:
=================

============================

     S120.2  = 0  Multi-answering. (default)
               1 ambiguity resolution

        =============================================

1.The firmware's file names for various switch type are as follows:

        FILENAME SWITCH TYPE
   1.1 "TA128E.204" ------ DSS1
   1.2 "TA128K.204" ------ KOREA(KOREA only)
   1.3 "TA128G.204" ------ 1TR6 (GERMANY only)
   1.4 "TA128A.204" ------ USA (GERMANY only)

2.Fixed the Bugs:
=================
2.1 Making a V.110 data call which user rate is over than 19200 bps while
bearer service is 56K bps can not connect successfully. The maximun user
rate should be 19200 bps if bearer service is 56K bps.
2.2 Press any key to terminate current connection attemp when enter in
handshaking state sometimes does not work.
 2.3 After changing outgoing service ( e.g. from V.120 to X.75 ), data packet
length should be changed to default value, otherwise file transfer may
get some problem while receiving an incoming data call.
2.4 Issue 'AT*G2', the answer side call-back should use the number stored
in phone table rather than calling party number of incoming SETUP
      message.
2.5 For USA version, DN will be cleared while the switch type is changed.
2.6 Issue 'ATI3', the value of 'Bytes sent' is incorect.
2.7 Issue 'ATZ' does not cause the AA LED to go low while S0 = 0.
2.8 While s87.7 = 1, making an outgoing call by using DTE port1 and
answering an incoming call for DTE port2 then drop both calls, TA128 can
      not answer any incoming call.
2.9 Issue 'AT&F' on DTE port2 can not reset the TA128 to factory default
      setting.
2.10 Making 112K bundle connection and transfering file with video
conferencing equipment, the file will not be transfered completely.
2.11 Issue 'AT&D1' to dial default number function while the stored number is
Axxx or Bxxx, then TA may not dial out while second DTR is off.
2.12 While one B channel connect in data ( data call ) and another B channel
connect in voice ( phone call ), dropping the phone call may cause the
      data call to disconnect sometimes.
2.13 The setting of DTE port 2 should load factory default value. The default
      outgoing protocol is PPP.
2.14 For 1TR6 version, the value of item 'Cause' while issuing 'ATI3' is not
      correct sometimes.
2.15 V.110/38k4-8n1 compatibility problem with "CITAM" ISDN-TA. The German
product "CITAM" uses another version of Siemens V.110 chip. About the
setting of "CITAM": XX-bit should set to "IGNORE" since this setting is
normal V.110 configuration; "INBAND REMOTE SUPERVISOR" should set to
"OFF" since Omni TA128 does not yet implement the IPE function of V.110.
2.16 While using setting E71 in DTE port, the TA can not work sometimes.
2.17 The Multi-Auto function will malfunction ( can not receive any incoming
call ) while receiving two SETUP message simultaneously.
2.18 For Italy ,when there is an incoming SETUP message without Low layer
compatibility but with Beare capability that includes async,V.110,2400.
TA will answer this call then disconnect with "normal call clearing".
2.19 For Italy, in the three-party conference, there is no 'Progress
Indicator' in the sencond SETUP message.
2.20 While issue 'ATV0X5' to set the TA128, which always gets result code =
      45 after connection is established.
2.21 For AOC function, the second data call will reset the AOC charging
      information of the first call.
2.22 While Issue 'AT&D1', the first DTR off-on transition will cause the
TA to dial default number, but second DTR off-on will not dial out.
2.23 For CAPI mode, the TA should ignore data compression while AT&K44
      is set.
2.24 Issue 'ATS18=32' will get 'ERROR', it should be 'OK'.
2.25 For leased line function, the TA128 sometimes can not transfer data
      after connecting X.75 or V.120.
2.26 For leased line function, pressing D/V key will cause TA hang-up after
connection; you have to power-on reset to reactive.
2.27 For leased line function, DTR dropping can not release the connection
while both two B channels are connected.
2.28 For leased line function, unplug ISDN cord from RJ45 connector can
not release the connection while both two B channels are connected.
2.29 While DTE port 2 is connected for X.75 or V.120, then placeing a PPP
call at DTE port 1 will cause the TA128 to reset.

3.Newly implemented features
============================
 3.1 AT&T11 : Loopback test from B1 to B2.
3.1.1 This is a loopback test from PC -> TA ( using B1 channel) -> CO
        -> TA ( using B2 channel) -> PC.
3.1.2 While making this fuction, the TA128 will make a outgoing data to
itself ( call to its own number ). The call will route back and B
channel will be connected. Then the TA128, sending a pattern to B1,
receiving from B2, and checking and responsing the message to DTE.
3.1.3 User can use this command to check if the switch or line is no problem.
3.1.4 Before utilizing this functiond, user should enter own number which
will be used to Calling_Party_Number of outgoing call.
        For DSS1, issue AT&ZOI = own number.
        For USA, issue ATDN0 = 1st number, ATDN1 = 2nd number
3.2 Disable busy tone for a/b adapter while using answering machine:
S78.0 = 0 can get busy tone from a/b adapter for phone 1.

   1.3 "TA128G.202" ------ 1TR6 (GERMANY only)

2.Fixed the Bugs:
=================
2.1 For AOC function, a second call will interfere the normal operation of
      the first call.
 2.2 Issuing "ATS103=n&L0S0=0 (n>0), when the a/b rings n times, the call
will be routed to the fax/modem. But there is no alerting tone.
2.3 Making an outgoing data call to a BUSY TA may get "NO CARRIER" instead
      of "BUSY".
2.4 While placing a call to an unallocated number using analog port, the
inband information will come from switches. This information should
      be heard via the handset.
2.5 For Japanese version, while making an outgoing phone call with
subaddress using analog port, then there are two errors in SETUP
      message:
      1) the length of called party number is incorrect.
      2) missing the byte of AFI ( Authority and Format Identifier ) for
called party subaddress with the type of NSAP X.213/ISO 8348 AD2.
2.6 While making a user-to-user information ( using ATT command ), the TA
sends wrong message to the switch.
2.7 For s50 function, while the value of s50 is more then 128, making a
data call will cause TA reset.
2.8 The answer side sets "ATE0Q1" "AT*G4" or "AT*G5". While calling back a
incoming call ,the message "CallBack ATDIS0" shall not be displayed.
2.9 Fixed the bug in the comformance test of Singapore.
2.10 The modem will crash when the server requests PAP but Win95 requires
      encrypted password.
2.11 For PPP/MP, the second call will wait 2 seconds to dial out after the
      first passes the authentication.
2.12 Issuing "ATCG", the activation of layer 1 fails.
2.13 For s124 setting, there are some problems to send LCP-echo.
2.14 Set baud rate as 19200/9600/4800/2400 bps, key in T<CR>AT<CR>...
sequence there will be no response from TA.
2.15 AT*HCn's description in on-line help is wrong.
 2.16 AT&F doesn't update AA LED status.
2.17 For USA version, if switch type is AT&T point-to-point, sometimes
      layer 1 can not activate.
2.18 For USA version, if switch type is NI1, callback function does not work.
2.19 Issuing "AT*Ax",x=0,2-7 to set the speed of DTE port 2 other than 115.2
Kbps and saving to the user's profile by issuing "AT&W0Z0". After power
off and on the TA, DTE port 2 does not work at the specified speed.
2.20 Issuing "ATC$" to view EPA will get some garbage.
2.21 For DTE port2, TA can now send SETUP message with Low Layer
Compatibility while making an outgoing call by setting S80.6=1 via
      DTE port 1.
2.22 When using the phone features and trying to reject an incoming call
using Flash/5, the TA128 sends DISCONNECT with 'Call reject'. It was
      'User busy'.
2.26 While intercom or 3 way conference, only Phone 1 can answer an incoming
call. Phone 2 should be able to answer the call.
2.27 When issuing ATBP0, BACP negotiation protocol won't be rejected. It
      causes MP won't be dialed.
2.28 Issue 'A>' to redial last phone number, the TA may send 2 SETUP message.

3.Newly implemented features
============================

 3.1 Sync Data
 -------------
  3.1.1 AT&M1: asynchronous (=async) command, synchronous (=sync) mode.
        At call site, issue "AT&M1" and "ATB11" ( V.110, sync 64K ), then
LLC with sync mode will be included in the SETUP message.
AT answer site, only issue "AT&M1", the TA will check LLC of
incoming SETUP message and connect with sync data.
  3.1.2 AT&M3: synchronous mode.
V25bis command set for this synchronous mode is available.
AT*I1 have to be issued for enabling V25bis command set.

 3.2 CAPI 2.0
 ------------
3.2.1 A public-beta version of the CAPI 2.0 driver was released
simultaneously with the F/W version 2.01. Supported Layer 3 protocols
        are X.75 Transparent,
        T.70 (for T-Online),
ISO8208 (for European File Transfer), and
Bit Transparent (for some S/W G3 Fax application).
3.2.2 Two applications on the same PC can work concurrently, each using
        one of the two B-channels.

 3.3 Leased line
 ---------------
3.3.1 The B-channel protocols supported for the leased line are V.110,
V.120, X.75 PPP and MP. The protocols are selected using ATBxx
commands as in the dial-up mode.
3.3.2 Using following command to configure.
          AT*Mn leased line auto-handshake mode selection S14b0
*M0 - leased line auto-handshake mode on Originate mode
*M1 - leased line auto-handshake mode on Answer mode
          AT&In normal/leased line options S14b2-3
            &I0 - normal dial-up phone line.
&I1 - leased line function in B1 channel only, dial-up function
                  in B2 channel
&I2 - leased line function in B2 channel only, dial-up function
                  in B1 channel
&I3 - leased line function in both B1 and B2 channel.
If the leased line mode configuration has been saved as the power-on
user's profile and upon power-on, the TA will ALWAYS try to make a
connection with the remote site using the pre-selected protocol, B-
channel ( B1 or B2 ), and originate/answer mode. To change the TA from
the leased line mode back to the dial-up in this case, one has to
reset the TA into factory default settings.
3.3.3 If the leased line mode is just selected after power-on, the following
commands can be used to make a leased line connection:
ATDB1 - use B1 channel in Originate mode
ATDB2 - use B2 channel in Originate mode
ATDB3 - use both B1 and B2 channel in Originate mode
ATAB1 - use B1 channel in Answer mode
ATAB2 - use B2 channel in Answer mode
ATAB3 - use both B1 and B2 channel in Answer mode
        ( ps. ATDC1, 2, 3 will be change to ATDB1, 2, 3 in next version )

 3.4 Miscellaneous
 -----------------
3.4.1 Changing switch type of USA from S86 of user profiles to two bytes in
NVRAM. The definition of S86 would be defined in the future.
3.4.1 S50, inactivity timer. The TA counts when there is no data flow
in or out of the RS-232 serial port. A connection is disengaged when
the counter reaches the preset value. Set '0' to disable this function.
This function is available in PPP protocol now.
3.4.2 Caller ID display for POTS ports.
When a telephone call is coming, if physical DTE port is not occupied
by any logical DTE channels, Caller ID and Callee ID will be displayed
        when s84.4=0.
  3.4.3 AT*GC1: 2 changes.
3.4.3.1 Compare Calling Party Number (CPN) with the stored numbers from the
right digit to the left digit. So 8005552000 will match 5552000.
3.4.3.2 Based on the shorter one, so the CPN can be longer or shorter than
           the stored numbers.
3.4.4 Feature phone function: flash/6 - designate local phone to answer
incoming call which rings another phone.
3.4.5 Add "AT&W" to save DTE port2 B-channel protocol in NVRAM.
3.4.6 For Korea's dual-codec model, while recieving an incoming phone call,
TA will auto-detect A- or u-law and change the setting.

=============================================================================

Release Note on Omni TA128 Version 2.00 Nov, 27, 1996

1.The firmware's file names for various switch type are as follows:

        FILENAME SWITCH TYPE
   1.1 "TA128E.200" ------ DSS1
   1.2 "TA128A.200" ------ USA
   1.3 "TA128G.200" ------ 1TR6 (GERMANY only)

2.Fixed the Bugs:
=================
2.1 PPP/MP BOD delay timer does not work.
2.2 The DTE port 2 ATDL command cause the response to be showed on DTE port 1.
2.3 POTS ports still answers to the unmatched MSN number.
2.4 The analog call can not send LLC (Low Layer Capability) while set S80.4=1
      or S80.7=1.
 2.5 Security function on V.110 doesn't work.
2.6 The stored call back number ( by AT*HCn ) can not be erased by doing
      hardware reset.
2.7 For security functions there are two kinds of messages that can be
used at the TA prompt. For example, "Password" and "PassWord",
"CORRECT" and "Correct". Now "PassWord" and "Correct" are the
      only correct messages .
2.8 After V.110 connection, the item "Receive Byte" of "ATI3" displays
      incorrect value.
2.9 For U model of USA version, issuing AT&T8 or AT&T10 causes the TA to
      loose the SPIDs.
2.10 Issuing ATZI1 will get "ERROR", it should be "OK".
2.11 While receiving a Facility message with AOC_S, the TA will send a STATUS.

3.Newly implemented features
============================

3.1 CAPI 1.1 Profile A
----------------------
3.1.1 A public-beta version of the CAPI 1.1 profile A driver was released
simultaneously with the F/W version 1.01d. Supported Layer 3 protocols
       are X.75 Transparent,
       T.70 (for T-Online),
ISO8208 (for European File Transfer, see Note *), and
Bit Transparent (for some S/W G3 Fax application, see Note *).
[Note *]: These protocols are in the alpha test state and are
                 still very buggy.
Two applications on the same PC can work concurrently, each using
       one of the two B-channels.
3.1.2 EAZ to MSN mapping function for CAPI mode. Users can use AT&Zn =
       xxx/sss/,n = 0-9 (denotes the EAZ), xxx = phonenumber,
sss = subaddresss to do this mapping. For outgoing calls,
the TA128 receives "Source EAZ" ( 0-9 ) from the Application
and uses the appriopriate phone number as
Calling_Party_Number/Subaddress. For incoming calls, the TA128
checks Called_Party_Number/Subaddress and uses the matched phone
       number register's pointer ( 0 - 9 ) as "RequestedEAZ" to
       the Applications.

3.2 Charging Information
------------------------
3.2.1 AOC function for Euro-ISDN: you can use "ATCH?" to view the charge
information of the last call if the network had sent the message.
3.2.2 Metering Pulse function for Germany (16K), Switzerland (12K) and
       Austria (12K).

3.3 New protocols for DTE port 2
--------------------------------
 3.3.1 New protocols X.75 and V.120.
 3.3.2 Multiauto mode auto-detect/connect PPP, X.75, V.120 protocols.
3.3.3 DTE port 2 will answers to matched "called party number" with MSN
       setting (refers to AT&ZI5 command).
3.3.4 One more S register bit is to configure DTE port 2 to answer the
incoming data call when DTE port 1 is busy (in connected state),
even if the MSN (at&ZI5) is not matched.
S87.7 = 0 : DTE port 2 will only answers the incoming data
call with matched MSN number (default).
       S87.7 = 1 : DTE port 2 answers incoming call when port 1 busy.
                   (useful for server applications)

3.4 New POTS port features
--------------------------
 3.4.1 Intercom / Transfer / MultiAnswer / Call Waiting /

3-Way Switch mode / 3-Way Mixing mode , and all the features
will be handled by the TA128 per se, users don't need to subscribe
those features from the phone company (therefore no extra charge
       for them).
[Note]: Due to hardware limitation, only the newer TA128 is able to
support all the POTS port features. Please check your hardware
by issuing "AT&V6" to view the "Full-featured" status.
