New features:
-------------

 1) now there are a lot of feature entries (of different B-channel protocols)
for the ZyXEL ISDN terminal adapter series (Elite 2864I and Omni TA128)
available which will be displayed after automagic detection or they can
manually be selected by the user while installation/configuration of RAS.

 2) for the ZyXEL omni.net TA series we do not have this variety of
B-channel protocols selection list list. You will have to use
ZyXEL ISDN Configuration Manager v2.4 (or higher version) to
pre-select the B-channel protocol and save it to NVRAM user profile #0.
By default all ZyXEL ISDN TAs will work with the new Multi-Dial-Out (MDO)
feature which was itroduced in the firmware released by July 1998.
This means that the ISDN TA itself will dedect the B-channel protocols
for both OUTGOING and INCOMING calls (for PPP/HDLC, X.75 and V.120 -
as well as V.34 analog modem calls in Elite 2864I)

 3) Following modem entries have been added or modified:
            analog modems:
                ZyXEL Elite 2864
                ZyXEL Omni 288S

                ZyXEL U-336S
                ZyXEL U-336E

            ISDN hybrid modem:
                ZyXEL Elite 2864I USA:
                ZyXEL Elite 2864I DSS1:

                ZyXEL Elite 2864I, V.120_64k0

ISDN double DTE ported terminal adapter V.24:
                ZyXEL Omni TA128 USA:
                ZyXEL Omni TA128 DSS1:
                ZyXEL Omni TA128 JAPAN:
                ZyXEL Omni TA128 TAIWAN:
                ZyXEL Omni TA128 1TR6:
                ZyXEL Omni TA128, asyncPPP_HDLC
                ZyXEL Omni TA128, Bundle_X.75M
                ZyXEL Omni TA128, Bundle_PPP

                ZyXEL Omni TA128, V.110_38k4
ZyXEL Omni TA128, V.110_57k6 (for Japan only)
                ZyXEL Omni TA128, V.120_64k0

ISDN single DTE port terminal adapter V.24:
                ZyXEL omni.net
                ZyXEL omni.net PLUS
                ZyXEL omni.net D
                ZyXEL omni.net LCD

 4) I/O-cards with 2x or 4x clocked 16C550 UART chip (for 230400 bps or
480600 bps max. DTE rate) will be accepted. So now it's possible to
have channel bundeling and data compression !
Therefor the ZyXEL "Enhanced 2S1P" (8-bit I/O-card) or the
ZyXEL "SP111AT" (16-bit I/O-card, in standard serial mode only !)
    are recommended.

 5) If you want to dial out with the ZyXEL Elite 2864I (hybrid ISDN terminal
adapter with integrated V.34 modem) in analog MODEM mode please
simply put the character "M" just before the telephone number entry to be
dialed in the RAS Phone Book.

 6) detailled installation guide ("INSTALL.TXT") included in the compressed
    archive file ("MODEM.ZIP")

Known bug:
----------

 1) WindowsNT Remote Access Service does not know how to manage undefined
DCE or DTE baudrates (like 64000, 128000, 230400 or 460800 bps) so
I had to do the trick with the "<ignore>" as "connectbps" in the
connect strings section of the MODEM.INF.
This is the cause that in the DEVICE.LOG there always the reported
"connectbps" will be 115200 bps and the "carrierbps" 28800 bps.

    Advantage:
In the "Port Status" dialog box you will see the real connection
string which is reported by the modem !
