_D_e_s_c_r_i_p_t_i_o_n:

Function to join CDF groups with the same names.

This 'function' is design to be used with 'applyCdfGroups'() on an
Affymetrix Mapping (SNP) CDF 'list' structure.

This can be used to join the sense and anti-sense groups of the
     same allele in SNP arrays.

_U_s_a_g_e:

     cdfMergeStrands(groups, ...)

_A_r_g_u_m_e_n_t_s:

groups: A 'list' structure with groups.

     ...: Not used.

_D_e_t_a_i_l_s:

If a unit has two strands, they are merged such that the elements
for the second strand are concattenated to the end of the elements
of first strand (This is done seperately for the two alleles).

_V_a_l_u_e:

Returns a 'list' structure with only two groups.
