This is a subclass of "externalVector" that
implements the use of arbitrary external backends for storing the
elements of the vector.
Objects can be created by calls of the form externalVector(type,
lengtyh, storageClass).
storage:"externalStorage", the
storage backend for the vector elements. Names:"vectorNamesType", names
of the elements. Dim:"integerOrNull", dimension
of the object. DimNames:"listOrNull",
