MySQL Connector/C 7.0 Documentation sap  {#mainpage}
=================================

Connector/C is a library for applications written in C that want to
communicate with MySQL database servers 5.7 and newer and use the X-protocol.

NOTE: the mysqlx plugin needs to be installed and activated in the Server.

The version 7.0 of Connector/C will offer a new MYSQLX API that utilizes
all cool features of the new MySQL X-protocol.
