OPT_PFTPD 3.2.3

Current version see <http://arnowelzel.de/wiki/fli4l/opts>

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introduction
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With OPT_PFTPD it is possible to run a FTP-Server on FLI4L based on PureFTP
(see also http://www.pureftpd.org).

FLI4L is not intended for server purposes. To run a "real" FTP server,
EISFAIR is better (http://www.eisfair.org).

I do not take any responsibility for faults, which may occur by using this
package. If you want a secure FTP server, read the documentation and check,
if everything works as expected.

This version was originally based on OPT_PFTPD 0.7 by Florian Zierer and is
intended for FLI4L 3.0.0 to 3.0.2. It is not useable on older versions!

For FLI4L 2.0.8, you can version 0.7. Version 0.8 was an intermediate
release for FLI4L 2.1.9 and should not be used any more due to the
dependency on OPT_LIBC5 and a number of bugs in the HTTP interface!

Since this package is using the latest binaries, based on PureFTP 1.0.21,
OPT_LIBC5 is not neccessary any more!

The french translation was done by Bernard Charrier.

I also have to thank Frank Saurbier for his changes in the logfile view.

Notes for the installation
--------------------------

Since the "check" file does not allow to define dependencies for different
major version of FLI4L (3.0 and 3.2), i removed the dependency completely.
If any problems occur, please note:

OPT_PFTPD 3.2.2 is only tested with FLI4L 3.0.0-3.0.4, 3.2.x and 3.4.0!

BEFORE installing the package, you have to create the directories for the
userdata (/data/conf) and the file storage (/data/ftp).

The file storage must be on a partition with ext2/ext3 filesystem.
FAT is NOT suitable!

In the console or via SSH:

mkdir /data/conf
mkdir /data/ftp

AFTER installing the package and the first restart of FLI4L, the
directory for the file storage has to be assigned to the proper
user/group.

For this, you can enter the following command on the console or via SSH:

chown -R ftpuser:ftpgroup /data/ftp

This has only to be done once, since this assignment is saved permamently.
